For the last 40 years I have sort to create a personal visual language which has now become a totally unique style. This is the “language” that the soul communicates with my body. Although what the soul “says” is totally abstract, my body translates it for human understanding by way of ... colours and lines.

The drawn line implies the most basic of dynamic endeavours ... ie to simply visualise the movement from A to B. In these fine art paintings, drawings, and pastel artworks, however, each line is carefully and thoughtfully rendered ... and is my attempt at depicting the very essence of what I am seeking to become. That essence is my perception of whatever the soul is bringing into my consciousness, even though of course, the soul does not “do” anything … the soul purely “is”.

It is this “isness” issuing from the soul that I interpret using linear art visual language mixed with pertinent colours.

These pastel pictures, all for sale, are my meditations on the challenges that befall the body as it realises the actuality of the soul ... more specifically the “journey” of the soul towards the source. No idle observations or romantic reveries here ... they are practical preparations for an intense and totally alien form of existing. A state of being within the apparent limitless environment of the “eternal now” ... ... “timelessness”.

I am compelled to make these marks on paper. They are dangerous steps towards the labyrinth, and yet at the same time are gentle realizations gradually revealing that which will come to pass.
